Because of the fall with Eve, God brought demotion among her. He placed her under Adam. Gen 16-19.  (see Ed Silivoso- Women:God’s Secret Weapon pg 65 par. 3)

And b/c of this, men have made it a subject to rule over women… but then there was Paul.

“Eve fell b/c Adam failed to instruct her. He was the one who received the prohibition to eat from the tree and was cogninizant (having knowledge or being aware of)  of the details, whereas she had heard it secondhand. Judging by the way Eve mishandled the information when confronted by the serpent, Adam had apparently not given her proper instructions….  par. 1     – Adam saw that Eve was being misled and also that she was responding incorresctly. Nevertheless, he stood next to her and did nothing to instruct her. Paul’s admontion to men is that teh should not fail their wives the way Adam failed his. par. 2 -Ed Silivoso- Women: God’s Secret Weapon

Paul’s restrictions about women not being allowed to teach must be seen as a principle that is in process rather than a fixed rule. He wrote to a specific group of people in the 1st century- to a woman or group of women who were contentious (causing or likely to cause an argument) and domineering (assert one’s will over another in an arrogant way), as suggested by the command in 1st Tim. 2:11-12 to be “in full submission” and to show “quietness [a peaceable attitude].”  -Ed Silivoso- Women: God’s Secret Weapon pg. 66 par 3.

Paul came after Jesus died on the cross. And when Jesus died on the cross he took the sins of the world and forgave them. That included the sin of Adam and EVE! He made a way for women to be reconciled along with men.

Paul came to the 1st century church and was correcting the women whom were trying to be a voice when they hadn’t the teaching or the right attitude and he spoke to the men telling them that they needed to insruct the women in order for them to teach. But the church has taken this philosphy and made it into a rule. Paul didn’t say that it was a rule to follow all the days of our lives. He just let them know that women have not been taught the things that they needed to be taught and that they needed to be. He pretty much said that they needed to listen and that man needed to teach them the way of the Lord. And once they are taught, then the women will be able to teach! 🙂

I agree with this teaching, b/c there are so many women out there that God has in leadership and who He  is raising up to be what He has called them to be! Including me!

“Every sin affects relationships on 2 levels: vertical, between people and God, and horizontal between 2 or more people. When Adam and Eve experienced sin, in addition to breaking fellowship with God, they also broke fellowship with each other. The perfect intimacy they once enjoyed was shattered. The same Adam who days before described Eve as “Bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh” and coined the word “woman” to describe her, now disowned her and accused her before God of being the source of his spiritual misery.”  -Ed Silivoso, Women: God’s Secret Weapon- pg 45 par.2.

Through relationship, Sin reveals the worst of it all. God intended to have intimate relationship with Adam and Eve all the days of their lives… He was there to commune with them:  to walk with them, to have conversations about the world with them; but Adam and Eve chose to turn from God. And the choice cost them their lives. God gave them free will, because He loved them. He knew that day that the enemy would tempt Eve. He knew. But He let her choose, because He loved her so very much. If God had stopped Satan and Eve, there wouldn’t have been a choice and without choice, there wouldn’t have been love.

How does this affect us?? Men and Women now??

That moment when Adam (Gen 3:12) said, “That Woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate;” became the moment of disunity between the relationship between Man and Woman. Before that moment, there was nothing but true intimacy and friendship. When Adam stated “That woman” he stated that he couldn’t trust her anymore. He didn’t want anything to do with her. He basically kicked her to the curb!

And just think of what Eve thought when Adam said that… (I’m gonna put myself in her shoes): Humliliated, broken, hurt, frustrated, confused, unloved, not beautiful, unappreciated, disappointed, manipulator… And all this became the world. It became the world’s way of looking at a woman. And that’s why women have been so distraught and pushed away in this world; they lost their reason to exist as God called them to be.

Intense! really Intense… The GAP that Man forced upon oursleves is the gap that the enemy created to reveal- his hatred; but in all honesty… it’s what we’ve chosen for the past thousands of years! Why? Because we have sinned against God, ourselves and each other. Men and Women have to be reconciled with each other and God in order for the appropriate unity to be enforced in our society. The unity that was once made in relationship. The Pure Unity that hasn’t been tainted by the Sin of our hearts. Women need to be uplifted and encouraged and fought for instead of pushed back and punched at. Women of all the relationships in this world are the relationships worth having. God made it that way. Man needs woman and woman needs man. Relationship wise, it’s the only true way to defeat the enemy.

“When God took part of Adam to create Eve, he became totally male while she came to embody the female dimension of God. It is imperative for men and women to be reconciled in order to be able to fully express God’s image on earth.” -Ed Silivoso-Women:God’s Secret Weapon pg 46 par 2

The day that Eve made the decision to eat of the Tree of Knowledge; I wonder what was going on trough her head… Really… what do you think as a woman, if you were being tormented by the enemy himslef into doing something you didn’t want to do, but felt like there was no other choice at the moment… and well it was appealing to you anyways…   For ME… let me think…#1)  I would be totally horrified, especially if there was a snake talking to me. #2) I would be wishing that someone would ride in on a white horse and save me! #3) I would hope that if I ate it… I would still want to be wanted and loved. #4) I would be totally into it, b/c I was the one being paid the attention, to be able to make the decision… etc… And if I look at that correctly… Those are some of the main attributes to women’s hearts these days.

Before the fall… I’m sure that Eve never felt that way. But in that little moment. The enemy let her feel what it was like to be alone, wanted, the one to have the more power… He let her feel what it would be like if she had eaten the friut… and b/c of her choice and free will (God gives us!!) She chose to take the opportunity to want something else and in turn… she was ashamed that she left God, and that her own husband, Adam, said “be apart from me…. “(Gen 3:12)

-Awe man… just thinking about that day where I would had to have faced God in all his Glory and be forever be removed from it. I would be devastated… humiliated, ashamed, etc… Just thinking of the hurt and confusion of what I did… the choice b/w the God of all and His enemy of this world… Just being Eve… but then again… that’s what we relate to isn’t it? We relate to the Eve that fell and that made the wrong choice and we have forever lived in this world of disappointement b/c we can’t seem to get over the fact that we messed up and what’s even worse, that the men of our lives have forever blamed us for the whole ordeal… but, what if it where the other way around…or  what if Man didn’t eat the apple too… there was unity in the choice... Adam decided too, he chose too! He wasn’t there to tell her no, he didn’t save her or protect her… He went ahead and joined her.  But b/c of the Fear of the Lord, Adam became the man this world says he is and he became coward and ran away and took his wife with him.

WE HAVE TO GET BACK TO THE TRUE IMPORTANCE! The TRUTH! We have to get back to what Adam and Eve were created for… not dwell on the Mishaps of what happened… we can’t continue in this world as lost and foreign beings. We were created in HIS image… God’s image (Gen 1:26). We as Men and Women need to live for what we were created for… the Adam and Eve before the fall… Ones that dwell in the place of God, who can actually taste and see the Lord. Ones that live in His glory all the days of our lives here on earth! We need to think upon the True Identity of being made in God’s image and bear His name… From what I have learned… you can’t become like God if you’re not beholding Him…

“Deep intimacy must be restored for men to reclaim their role as protector and for women to be fully released to do what God intended from the beginning: to torment the devil with divinely sanctioned anger in order to keep him down!” -Ed Silivoso Women: God’s Secret Weapon pg 23.  (Now I know what God made me for! To torment the enemy… not him torment me!!! 🙂 )

Seriously: for the women…like Ed Silivoso says in his book Women:God’s Secret Weapon:  “Satan knows that when women find out who they really are, his evil Kingdom will come to an abrupt end.”

Why do you think the enemy came against the woman in the 1st place.. not b/c she was the weaker one… but b/c she was an IMPORTANT part of God’s plan. Women carry the emotions of God (men too), but she carries the most integral parts of what God feels towards people. Proverbs 31 reveals the parts of a woman that God ordained for her… and she is Virtuous and fully clothed in the image of God! Not the image of this world or the enemy… God has forgiven her for the wrong choice, why can’t women themselves and men forgive??

“Satan has worked hard to keep women down, oppressed, and humiliated. He has twisted our understanding of the scriptures so that women will not be release into ministry.”  -Ed Silivose Women: God’s Secret Weapon pg 22.

WHY!! B/c of the IMPORTANCE! of who men and women are! And who they become when they are in UNITY with GOD!! Can’t wait for that battle! Cause we all know who’s gonna win! – and that’s why the enemy comes against us… he doesn’t want us to! “It’s just a matter of time… Just wait and see… He’s gonna make everything beautiful… just in time…” -Misty Edwards!!
