Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about Romance! I was reading a magazine the other day about how we define Romance… each of us {women mainly} have our own idea of how our man is supposed to woo us and well Romance us…  So I decided to write it down for my hubby, what it means to me… and I found the scripture in Ephesians that seriously helped me to describe my idea… And it goes like this….

“Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church- a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything He does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor- since they’re already “one” in marriage.”   Eph. 5:25-28 The Message

This scripture was even read at our wedding… just in a different version… but it requires a man to be the one to woo- not the wife.  There’s also a scripture in Deuteronomy 25:5

“When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to work or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken…”

So, Romance… what can I say… Even God put it in writing… the husband is the one to Romance his wife…
